Hong Kong won a total of 14 medals, comprising 2 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze, on the fifth day of competition.
Swimmer Chan Yui-lam clinched a gold medal in the women’s 100m butterfly S14, while lawn bowls player Tang Shun-yee won the title in the mixed singles B3 event. The lawn bowls team also contributed 3 silver and 2 bronze medals on the day. The silvers came from Li Chi-ming, Wu Man-ying and Kwok-wing in the mixed singles B2, women’s singles B7 and mixed singles B4, while Tang Mei-yi and Yim Man-ching took bronze in the women’s singles B8 and the mixed singles B2 respectively.
There were also outstanding performances from other sports, including 2 silver medals won by table tennis players Ko Hang-yee and Choi Siu-hung in the men’s doubles TT2-3, and Chen Silu and Lee Ming-yip in the men’s doubles TT6-7. In athletics, runner Yu Chun-lai finished second in women’s 100m T36 with her season's best time. Wheelchair fencers captured 2 bronze medals, by Yu Chui-yee in the women’s epee individual category A and Tong Nga-ting in the women’s epee individual category B respectively. There were also bronze medals for boccia players Yeung Hiu-lam in the mixed BC2 individual and Ho Yuen-kei in the BC3 category.
