Since Doha hosted the 2006 Asian Games, the Qatar has not stopped in developing sports. Quite the contrary, more resources has been put in, including sports hospital, training facilities, research, education etc. The popular sports in Qatar are football, tennis, cricket etc. The speaker will introduce sports medicine and sports science services in Qatar. The development and impact of these two areas in Qatar sports will be highlighted. The position, and aspiration of the Qatar government in recreational and elite sports will also be discussed.
