Gimmicks or Reality
By Dr. Ricky Tianco and Mr. Michael Tse
The development of the science and art of exercise and performance enhancement has led to scores of innovative equipment and training systems. Many of them work as claimed but numerous items are just 'gimmicks' or some may be 'stretched realities'. Some of the methods and equipment which do work may however also be taken beyond their actual practicability. This lecture tries to shed light on which methods or equipment are closer to reality or which of these are just gimmicks. A short practical session is also done for some equipment and types of exercises included in the lecture. In sports there is absolutely no time to waste on ineffective or even counterproductive exercises or equipment. We need to take only what is essential and discard the non-essential. This lecture give you some food for thought.
