Community Relations Assistant
The Hong Kong Sports Institute Limited (“HKSI”) is the Government’s delivery agent to provide the high performance training system for eligible sports. The HKSI’s mission is to provide an environment in which sports talent can be identified, nurtured and developed to pursue excellence in the international sporting arena benchmarked at Major Games results. We are now inviting suitable candidates for the following vacancy:
The Job
Reporting to the Community Relations Supervisor, the Community Relations Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:
- To attend walk-in enquiries, answer telephone enquiries and act as cashier.
- To provide supporting services to customers / residents / athletes / staff.
- To assist in organizing and maintain the smooth running of HKSIL community activities / events.
- To assist in handling bookings of facilities for outside organization / athletes / staff.
- To assist Community Relations Supervisor in preparing statistics and perform administrative duties as required by the Community Relations Officer or senior staff.
- To perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by senior staff.
The Requirements
- Applicants should have: (1) a minimum of 5 passes in HKCEE or 5 HKDSE subjects with at least Level 2 or equivalent, including English, Chinese and Mathematics; or (2) any post secondary qualification;
- Working experience in front desk operations, customer services or organizing sports activities is preferable;
- Customer orientated and able to work under pressure;
- Good command of spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua;
- Proficient in MS-Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing;
- Shift duty is required from 7:30 am to 10:15 pm, 8 hours per shift;
- Willing to work in weekends and public holidays; and
- Require to wear uniform.
