- 2005 Annual Celebration & Prize Presentation for the A.S. Watson Group/HKSI Outstanding Junior Athletes for the 1st Quarter of 2006
Badminton players Mong Kwan-yi and Chan Tsz-ka, Liu Tsz-ling of squash and Suen Ka-yi of swimming were honoured with the A.S. Watson Group/Hong Kong Sports Institute Outstanding Junior Athlete Awards title for the first quarter of 2006 at the ceremony on 25 May. Certificates of Merit were also presented to Geoffrey Cheah of swimming, Szeto Shiu-yan and Chan Ye-ko of triathlon as a recognition of their remarkable performances.

Badminton men's pair wins a gold medal at the Philippine Badminton Open

Hong Kong badminton players Albertus Susanto Njoto and Yohan Hadi Kusumo Wiranata won a gold medal in the men's double event of the Philippine Badminton Open held on 24-28 May in Manila, the Philippines.

Women's fencing team wins 2 medals at the All China Fencing Championships
|
The Hong Kong women's epee team won a silver medal at the All China Fencing Championship held on 23-25 May in Shenyang City, China. Besides, Chow Tsz-ki won a bronze medal in the women's sabre event, the best ever result for Hong Kong in this category of the tournament.

Junior squash team wins 7 medals at the Asian Junior Individual Championships
|
The Hong Kong junior squash team won 1 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals at the Asian Junior Individual Championships held on 6-10 June in Singapore. Lee Ho-yin became the second Hong Kong player to capture a boys' squash title since Lee Chun-kit in 1993.

Olympic Gold Medallist Xing Huina visits HKSI
|
|
Athens Olympic Women's 10,000m gold medallist Xing Huina paid a visit to the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) on 17 June and shared her training and compeition experience. Organised by the HKSI, the workshop aimed at enhancing the standard of long distance running in Hong Kong as well as promoting exchange of experience between the Mainland and Hong Kong.
