Hong Kong table tennis player Chiu Chung-hei won a gold medal in the boys' singles (under 12) event at the ITTF World Junior Circuit Taiyuan Junior Open held on 31 August – 4 September in Taiyuan City , China .

This was the second ITTF World Junior Circuit title won by Chiu Chung-hei this year. In May he won the boys' singles (under 15) title at the ITTF World Junior Circuit Spanish Youth Open held in Girona , Spain .
