- Hongkong Bank Foundation School Coach Accreditation Programme 10th Anniversary Awards Presentation Ceremony recognises over 140 accredited school coaches and PE teachers

Ninety-eight primary and secondary teachers were presented with Hongkong Bank Foundation School Coach Accreditation Programme attendance certificates at a certificate presentation ceremony held on 30 July.

The Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) has allocated a sum of HK$43 million to provide direct financial support to over 520 local elite athletes from 43 sports in 2008/09, representing an increase of over 20% compared to last year.

Paralympic gold medallist Yu Chui-yee shares experience with students
|
Yu Chui-yee, wheelchair fencing athlete and 4-gold medallist of 2004 Athens Paralympics, was invited by the Hong Kong Jockey Club to share her experience with 50 Beijing students and 50 local students of the Equestrian Youth Ambassador Programme at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology on 16 July. The programme aims to provide a platform for young people in Hong Kong to engage in the promotion of equestrian Olympic events and the Olympic Spirit. |
