The first section provides an overview of muscle anatomy and physiology. The second section deals with each muscle group and suggests exercises on balance and stability, stretching and power training. The book is an indispensable reference for beginning and advanced strength and fitness practitioners. |

This book is published by VeloPress in 2008 and written by Patrick Hagerman. The author is a recipient of the National Strength and Conditioning Association Personal Trainer of the Year award in 2002 and has been a coach to triathletes and weightlifters in the US for more than 25 years. The book includes 60 effective strength-training exercises; and sample training plans with instructions on adapting training plans to individual needs. The book is easy to follow - basic principles are clearly explained with full-coloured illustrations. It is recommended to all levels of triathletes who are looking to improve their performance. |
