(Call no. : TX361.A8 A97 2011) |
This book is written by two nutrition experts, who are also respectively a physiologist and a triathlon coach. The book applies the science of nutrient timing to help nutritionists design individualised nutrition plans for athletes to improve training, performance and recovery. The authors share their extensive practical experience and provide recommendations for a wide range of sport types, including strength and power, endurance and team sports. The book also includes information on using nutrient timing theory to counteract altitude, heat and humidity, cold exposure, and air pollution. This is a very useful reference for nutritionists, athletes and coaches.
