Feminist sport studies: sharing experiences of joy and pain (SIC call no.: GV709 .F34 2005)
|
Edited by Pirkko Markula and published by State University of New York Press in 2005, this book gathers the research findings in feminist sports studies. Contributors from Europe, New Zealand and North American are experts in sport literature, sport history, sport psychology
and sport sociology. Each of the stories includes their personal research experience in examining the contribution of feminist theory in understanding the gendered nature of sport.
Sport psychologists and sport sociologists may find it useful.
