HKSI moves back to Fo Tan site
|
The Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) headquarters moved back to the Fo Tan premises. The address is as follows:
Hong Kong Sports Institute 25 Yuen Wo Road Sha Tin, N.T. Hong Kong (Phone no., fax no., URL and email address remain unchanged)
With the recent completion of the first phase of the HKSI Redevelopment Project, the organisation moved from its temporary location at the Wu Kwai Sha Youth Village to Fo Tan in late February.
HKSI Chairman Dr Eric Li thanked the Government, the Sha Tin, Tai Po and Sham Shui Po District Councils, the National Sports Associations, coaches, athletes and staff for their joint support over the past three years. He said, “Without the collaboration of all parties, the reprovisioning and redevelopment of the HKSI could not proceed so smoothly. The existing training facilities, sports science and sports medicine services, and fitness training centre have been upgraded and are in operation. All new facilities will be completed in two years and continuous support from the public and our stakeholders is essential.” |
HKSI New Year Luncheon
|
The HKSI Board of Directors hosted a New Year Luncheon on 26 February to get together with the National Sports Associations (NSAs) of elite and disability sports, as well as representatives of the government, sponsors and partners to celebrate the beginning of the New Year. During the luncheon, HKSI Chairman Dr Eric Li complimented Hong Kong athletes on their outstanding performance in the past year, and he also provided an update on the HKSI Redevelopment Project. He stated that with increasing support from the government and the commercial sector, and the concerted effort of the HKSI and NSAs, Hong Kong athletes would continue to produce breakthrough results in the international arena. |
