The Joseph Lau Luen Hung Charitable Trust International Scientific Symposium - Emerging technologies for sports performance enhancement

The Joseph Lau Luen Hung Charitable Trust International Scientific Symposium organised by the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) will be held on 15 - 16 March 2013 (Friday and Saturday) at the HKSI, with the aim to examine, exchange ideas and stimulate discussion on the development and application of technologies in enhancing sports performance.

Hongkong Bank Foundation Elite Athletes Support Scheme in Coach Education (EASS)

With their sporting knowledge and experience, elite athletes are a prime source of coaching talent. In order to provide full support to them to become accredited coaches, the 6th EASS was held from 28 November to 21 December 2012, with a CAP Level 2 course offered to interested elite athletes. A tailor-made course schedule was arranged to ensure that this valuable programme did not affect athletes¡¦ training. A total of 20 elite athletes from five sports including badminton, fencing, karatedo, windsurfing and wushu joined the programme. |

Fresh off their win in the men¡¦s doubles at the BWF World Junior Championships 2012, badminton duo Lee Chun-hei and Ng Ka-long were invited to officiate at the New Town Rider cycling event on 2 December 2012 with about 1,000 participants. The shuttlers also shared their sporting experience with all participants and presented prizes to some of the winners. |
