Hong Kong team wins 28 medals at the Guangzhou Asian Para Games

Congratulations to the Hong Kong team on winning 5 gold, 9 silver and 14 bronze medals, totalling 28 medals at the Asian Para Games held on 12 - 19 December 2010 in Guangzhou, China. Please click here for full results.

A total of 107 athletes represented Hong Kong in 14 sports at the Games.

HKSI co-organises Shatin Festival event
Organised by the Activist Association, co-organised by the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) and the Shatin Festival Organising Committee to celebrate the Shatin Festival, the event ¡§Win Win Run¡¨ was successfully held on 19 December 2010, with about 4,000 runners participating. The opening ceremony and the prize presentation ceremony were held at the Athletic Field of the HKSI.

Wushu athlete Geng Xiaoling, gold medallist of Changquan of the 2010 Asian Games; and Ng Sum-chun and Lam Wai-yi, bronze medallists of Latin (Jive) of the 2009 East Asian Games were invited to give a performance during the opening ceremony. Besides, four 2010 Asian Games medallists were invited to present prizes at the prize presentation ceremony, including shuttler Yip Pui-yin (bronze in the Ladies¡¦ Singles); fencer Cheung Siu-lun (silver in the Men¡¦s Foil Individual and bronze in the Men¡¦s Foil Team events); fencer Au Sin-yin (silver in the Ladies¡¦ Sabre Individual and bronze in the Ladies¡¦ Sabre Team events); and fencer Yeung Chui-ling (bronze in both the Ladies¡¦ Epee Individual and Team events).
