Coaching knowledges: understanding the dynamics of sport performance
(SIC call no.: GV 711. D46 2007) |
The book was published by A&C Black in 2007 and edited by Jim Denison, an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation of the University of Alberta in Canada. It looks at how coaches¡¦ knowledge of the pedagogical, sociological, physiological and psychological aspects of training influence their coaching practice. The book has three sections. The first and second sections were written by sports educators who have coaching experience; the last section features three interviews with veteran international coaches. This book is particularly good for coaches to understand factors that may affect their routine practice. |
